I like many others are changing pumps From this I have gathered 2 No longer used pumps and hand sets tubes and cannulas in date .etc
The question is what can you do with them ? Do I just dump recycling as much as possible. Any advice?

Technically the pumps still belong to the NHS but they never seem to want them back, I don’t think they can use them for anyone else if they are out of warranty. Maybe the hospital might take cannulas etc back if someone else uses the same pump? We got rid of a few that way, daughter had just changed to a different pump and we got a phone call from the DSN saying that another family with a younger child had just changed to a new pump and hated it so much that they wanted to go back onto the old one while they reconsidered their options, but they were no longer able to order the consumables from the pump company. Luckily for them it was the same as our old one and we had a whole box of cannulas and at least as many cartridges left over so it was nice to send them to a new home!

I’ve kept mine as emergency back-up / spares.

I suspect they will just gather dust and never be looked at again!

I have still got my old animas pump but very little cannulas and reservoirs that i take on holidays for emergencies also medtronic 640 that i hope they have forgotten about with limited cannulas Ect after changing to ypsomed pump i have looked at buying cannulas on line and gobsmacked at the price .when i was on omnipod for a few months i was lent a spare PDM for a holiday in portugal as a backup .
