To widen the definition of book a little to include written resources...

Mountains for Active Diabetics is a loose international grouping of people with diabetes who participate in activities in the mountains, including walking, hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, ice climbing, Nordic / crosscountry skiing, alpine / downhill skiing, all terrain biking, road cycling, adventure racing, kayaking etc. It's a broad definition, which can also cover managing condition and equipment in remote / wet / cold / hot / sunny/ windy / dusty / marine / freshwater etc places.

There are reports by members of trips all over the world at http://diabetic.friendsinhighplaces.org/
Recent reports (from about Oct 07 to Dec 08), mostly with photos, include an account by "Boyan the Bulgarian Spider" about his presentation on World Diabetes Day, rock climbing in the Crestons in USA, Italian ascent of Cima Castore in Monte Rosa mountain group, summiting Lhotse in Himalayas, competing in World Masters cross country skiing championships, adventure racing in northern England & southern Scotland, hiking in Sardinia etc.
