Mounjaro Monday - Week 8 update

Hello!

Time flies - I have now completed 8 weeks on Mounjaro.

It’s been another good week with a 3.6lb loss. Very pleased - and even more pleased that I am now under 20 stone! Hello 19s, it’s been while!

Again, I’ve been lucky with side effects. My only issues being tiredness and feeling cold the day after my shot.

My non scale victory this week is that my gut no longer touches the steering wheel. About to go in to the office and see people I haven’t seen for a while. I’m not usually one for compliments as I get a bit awkward… but I am secretly hoping that people will notice the difference haha.

Gym is still going well - yesterday’s session was tough and I didn’t do as well as usual - but I think that’s how getting fit goes sometimes. Especially is women with our cycles and whatnot. I’m super excited as I have ordered myself a walking pad, which will mean I have no excuse not to get some steps in when I’m watching the TV.

Blood test is booked in for the 26th - bit later than I hoped, but the surgery forgot to refer me and I had to chase it up. So by the end of the month I should know if my numbers have improved.

Hope you all have a great week x

SW: 23st 2lb (18/12/24)
CW: 19st 11.2lb
Weight lost since starting Mounjaro on 13/01/25 - 1st 8.8lbs.

Hope you get showered with positive encouragement @Katetype2

But don’t be too disappointed if no one says anything. They’ll have noticed, but may not want to say.

Another good week for you @Katetype2 and I am so impressed you keep so motivated and upbeat. It really cheers me up reading your posts. We all have different diabetes journeys but share the same goal of living the best life we can and managing our diabetes as well as we can. I am sure your positive attitude and dedication will get you there.<3

I don’t want to hijack this thread but just to say I’m mirroring Katetype2 on the Mounjaro journey at just 8 weeks in, I’ve lost about 17lbs, more importantly has been the impact on my insulin intake which has decreased by two thirds for both slow and fast acting, some days having no fast acting at all, TIR staying at 99%. Like Katetype2 just minimal side effects. Hope this continues and good luck Katetype2!
