Hi,

A loss of 1.8lbs this week, which I’m very happy with considering this big losses I’ve had recently.

The heat really doesn’t suit me, so exercise has been a pure chore this week. Still, I have done plenty of walking and a couple of very hot and sweaty gym visits. Yesterday’s gym and walk were particularly torturous - I wanted to quit with every fibre of my being. But I kept going. It occurred to me that this time last year I couldn’t have done a quarter of what I managed, and more importantly I wouldn’t have even tried. The fact that I am driven enough to push through the discomfort now is something I’m really proud of. I never expected to be that kind of person.

Mounjaro symptoms wise, I have experienced a few little tummy aches if I have overestimated how much I can eat. I felt very sick for a few moments after eating a protein bar at work. Nothing major - I just think that the digestion process is considerably slower. But really, there is very little in the way of symptoms to speak of.

I have this week off so the plan is to get some stuff around the house done when the heat allows. Also, to get to the gym and keep building on my strength. Some long walks too if it cools down.

I hope everyone has a good week. Stay hydrated in the heat and get that sun cream on!

Well done, yet again.

I love those comparative examples as I think it helps the rest of us appreciate the massive efforts and persistence you have applied to get to this stage.

Yet another fab result. Well done! I too have found the heat challenging with exercise and powering through it has been tough, especially as sleep quality is so poor at the moment. I am sitting here shirking at the moment because I really can't face going out and doing anything, so I am using your motivational post here as the kick up the backside reminder that it isn't always easy but it is worth it to push ourselves, so I off to lace up my shoes and head out the door. Thanks!

Well done for pushing yourself to do your gym sessions despite the heat. Just be aware of the signs of heat exhaustion. It can come on quite quickly if you get over heated and dehydrated.
Your new mind set is impressive and a reminder that we can make a few changes to improve our health and diabetes management with help of medication if needed and the support of this forum.
Keep going and rack up those achievements along the way. <3 :star:

Thank you! Glad you went out - stay hydrated!

Thank you! Yes, I am very careful around heat. Definitely too hot today, so I’ve avoided being in it.
Mindset is so important on the diabetes journey I think. I decided very early on that I could either sink or swim - so I chose to swim🙂
