Hello!
So as you may have seen from my previous post, the big news is that I have now lost 50lbs!
Incredibly grateful for this loss, obviously. Things are getting easier, physically; clothes are getting looser. Usually at this point of a diet I’m starting to lose momentum and heading towards quitting. Not this time - I’m just getting started!
The past week has been fine, symptoms wise. I do get very cold the day after the shot, but I can more than cope with that. In terms of appetite suppression, I think I’m in a sweet spot where I am satisfied with what I’m eating, but not overly put off food. I do get hungry days still - but they are easier to deal with. A lot of people say that Mounjaro takes away ‘food noise’ - I still think about food a lot - it’s just not as pressing as it used to be.
This week will be important for a couple of reasons. My weight lifting class starts and I have my slightly later 3 month blood test. Keeping everything crossed for both.
I keep saying this, but for anyone new - please hang in there. The change you can make in just a few months is huge if you thoroughly commit yourself to it. Diabetes is hard to deal with - but you can either sink or swim. Take control of what you can and keep going.
Have a great week, everyone, and as always thank you for all the incredible support I get here.
