Hi - Had my exercises and brekkie. Remember in my previous post, I was waiting for my parcel on Friday - postman NEVER TURNED UP...contacted Royal Mail, had on the system it was successfully delivered....THE CHEEK!!!The customer service operator was lovely, and took my details and promised a thorough investigation into the matter.

Now that rant is over....went out last night and although I ate quite late (chicken and chips), it was a treat, first one in ages. Nevertheless, I did enjoy my night out. I had one shandy and it made me sleepy....yayyy. Means my body is not used to alcohol like before, and that is a good thing. Prior to that, the last time I had a drink was months ago. Now off to the Slimming world to see how I have done. I know I put on some weight over the olypmic games, due to the shift work I did, however, I feel slimmer as the past fortnight I have kick-started my keep fit and healthy regime with venom (good venom of course)...until the next rant.....

Update......

Hi,

Got back from Slimming world.....as I expected, I had put on weight... a little over a stone. I can understand why though, this was due to the shift patterns I worked at G4s. Nights were the worst as it meant that I was eating throughout a whole day.... But I felt I had lost even before I went for the weight in. As my Jeans felt looser than they did a couple of weeks ago.

The Postman just came and DELIVERED my package.....goodie.

Are you sure the sleepy feeling wasn't due to your BG being higher than it should have been?

Could be, however, I also cope with sleep apnea, for which I have a Cpap machine. Also in bright light directly over me, makes me nod off as well... I didnt feel sleepy when I was heading home and ten I got some food as well. Methinks it was the bright light...

On Second thoughts, you could have a point, I did have a fair bit of chocolate yesterday. (one plain chocolate bounty bar, and a dime bar a little bit later). All that could have factored in it as well. I remember late last year and up until early into this year when I would feel very light headed at times. The Doctor told me upon my last HbA1c back then it was (6.4) the Metformin dose I was on was too strong and reduced it. Last time is was just below 6 (test was done in June 2012). I did slightly overdue it a bit then as a sort of celebration....well the party is over now and back to the dedication......
