Hi,
What do people have for their morning / daily snacks if anything at all?
These are mine which I normally consume between the hours of 9am and 1pm 🙂 and no, these dont give me any sugar high readings ( also know this is not for everyone and is higher in fats )

I do sometimes have a homemade biscuit made with Erythritol not sugar 🙂 ( thanks to the sugar free Londonder )

Roasted Chickpeas : 10gsm
Brazil nuts : 10gsm
Almonds : 10gsm
Mixed Nuts : 15gsm

I very rarely have snacks now. If I do then I usually have nuts (30g portion, around 2g carbs) or one of those nut bars (again 30g portion, around 7-10g carbs)

I will often have a second coffee mid-morning though and record that on my health app as a morning snack. I have about 40ml milk in the coffee which gives about 2g carbs

Which nut bars do you have - I have not tried them as thought most were full of sugar. Probably not the case and was actually thinking of making some this weekend.

I have Nature Valley Protein Nut bars < 10g carb for 40g bar, or KIND protein bars about the same, shop own Aldi, Morrisons about 5g carb per 30g bar.
Make sure you choose the PROTEIN ones.

Currently I have the Kind ones as I got them on an offer, but I understand from other threads that some of the supermarkets do own brand too. I think it depends which type you go for, I have Dark Choc Nuts & Seasalt and Protein Crunchy Peanut Butter versions in my cupboard at the moment. I think the caramel etc flavours are higher in carbs

Thank you - will take a look 🙂

The Aldi ones have now been made larger and are about 10g carbs where they used to be 5.9. Of course you can just have half a larger one and keep the other half for another day.

Usually they make them smaller for the same price. Now I will have to cut in 3 not 2.
I have to be honest, i don't look at the price of them anymore, I am just relieved if they have some as often they don't have any left or just have the peanut butter variety which are a bit higher carb than the dark choc and sea salt. I am usually so busy rummaging through the boxes of assorted ones which are always on the top shelf that when I find some I joyously put them in my basket and head to the checkout and I am ashamed to say, I don't always check my receipt, so the price may have increased a bit too.

Don't have morning snack, sometimes when out & about in afternoon will have scone or piece of cake with nice mug of coffee.

I buy Keri protein bars online from Heylo or The Low Carb Food Co. They are very good and vv low in carbs. Eg Locanto Keto Collagen snake bar. But there are a variety.

Sorry not Keri “Keto”

Late breakfast means I don't need mid morning snack but the nurse told me to eat more because my finger pricks before lunch have been below 5 more than a few times.

So around 11 I'll have one of...
Ryvita - 7g carbs. + Cheese/ cucumber/celery/mackerel pate - what ever is open.
Peanuts or almonds with 1 pear.
