iI read this .
It’s not too uncommon to have slightly high fasting blood sugar on low carb and keto diets. Is this a problem?
It depends on your insulin levels, as outlined by Dr. Ted Naiman below. If you’re insulin sensitive, and have slightly higher fasting blood glucose, it’s likely just fine.
So is my 7. 5 etc acceptable then,
Should i be stressing yo get it lower or keep on the low carb diet as is ?

Exercise/increased activity will usually lower your waking reading and improve your insulin sensitivity.

7.5 is a bit higher than you would like but a lot better than it was, so you may just have to accept that slightly higher than ideal waking level if you can't manage more activity/exercise. We can't all get perfect results. I wake up some mornings in double figures and others below 4 and sometimes nicely in the 4-7 range. Being consistently in the 7s may be better than my inconsistency. You can only manage what you can with the medication and lifestyle you have and your body will allow.

It is the opposite for me, I walked most of the day Sunday, been in garden the last three days. I was out walking yesterday , so it does not add up. I cannot do anymore exercise. So how come when i was first on it lowered and it now goes up ? Makes no sense to me at all.

7.5 fasting a bit too high, and I believe the 'rise' in people on low carb diets (without diabetes) is quite small, maybe in the high fives or low sixes. (It's also known as glucose sparing or physiological insulin resistance.)

Is this a morning reading?

yes it is and now its 6,4 after ive eaten

That's not too bad.
What did you eat?

muffins this morning. but why will it go down after eating ?

6.38 was 7.3
two hours after bfast it was 6.5
took it hust now its 6.9 before lunch

7.3/6.5/6.9 may well be very much the same as the error margin for these meters is around 15%.

exactly so might not be too bad

You will be better able to see what to expect with morning or indeed any readings when you get your HbA1C done. Although they are different tests they are linked, somebody who has an HbA1C of over a 100 is unlikely to see their blood glucose readings to be at the low levels, equally somebody who has readings in the 4-7mmol/l range would not expect to see an HbA1C in three figures.
Just be patient.

4.3 before breakfast, I had my usual porridge, full fat milk and chopped pear, tested 2 hours after and was 5.3.
I build myself up in the hope that blood test done at surgery will be below 43, and that I’m no longer classed as pre diabetic, but it hasn’t gone below 43 in 2 years. I’m called for blood test once a year.
