i make chicken escallops, they seem to be the same thing,

Take a chicken breast, Free range of course!, slice open or butterfly it, hammer until thinner ( not too thin). dip in flour, then egg then home made bread crumbs, fry in olive oil and butter, you can put in the oven instead for a healthier option.
I think they have just added Parmisan to the bread crumbs.

i dont eat cheese so have never done this but without the cheese they are delicious, my daughters favourite meal EVER!

Never heard of this - has anyone tasted it?😛Bev

parmo is disgusting bev!!!!!!! my older brother used to live up in north east area and when i went up to see him we went out. well long story short we had one on the way home and it was foul!!!!!! even drunk i couldnt eat it and i can normally eat just about anything when i have had a bevvy or 10. if you wanna try something like this then i suggest pollo ala parmagianni. it is sort of a simillar dish, but doesnt have breadcrumbs on it and uses on parmasian cheese. if cooked right it is very nice 🙂

It looks disgusting, too fatty as well as carb laden...

Puts up her hand in a slightly embarrassed fashion

Yes, i have eaten a Parmo... and lived to tell the tale. Allthough this was before i had diabetes, i'll admit.
My brother lives on Teeside, where Parmo houses are as common as Kebab joints are down south (to be fair most Parmo houses do kebabs and pizzas too)
Before he moved there we'd never heard of this local "delicacy" so i was intreaged. They also have things called Zakarovs, which substitute tomato sauce for the bechamel. My brother claims there are many copies and imposters but a true Parmo has to have the Bechamel sauce, don't accept white sauce as a substitute....
i think it's a good idea to get your doctor's approval before eating one... I guess with my new medical condition i won't be having another one soon, but i'm not going to lose too much sleep over it :D
