Thought I would put this here instead of the news section as I know people have various opinions about mixtard.

I can see that it may be a problem for some, but I have always got the impression that mixtard is nowhere near as flexible and effective as the newer insulins. To suggest that it will 'cause mayhem in the NHS' seems to be a huge overstatement, and seems to be based on cost, as usual.
But I've never used it so I am quite happy for people to totally disagree with me! 😱
