I used to get nuts and seeds in my local Lidl, but they seem to have stopped stocking the range they used to have. It might be worth looking around other supermarkets for supplies. I think that the last lot of linseed was from Tesco.

Tesco shop this weekend cheers

I get mine from Lidl still but they don't always have the mixed seeds in, sometimes there is only packs of sunflower or pumpkin. They come in a box of mixed packs and I usually rake through the box and if there is more than one mixed seeds I get 2 or 3 as I go through a packet about every 2 weeks and they have a good long date on them and sometimes there are only the single seed packs. The seeds are on the same aisle as the nuts and crisps. I also get my whole chia seeds there. They are very reasonable for nuts and seeds.

Meant to say Grape Tree, don't know if they bought out JG or just took over fair few of their premises as our Grape Tree is in same spot as JG was.

Think I was having one of those Marathon Snicker bar moments earlier.

I did wonder...

I think the folks who set Grape Tree were the people behind Julian Graves... which was sold a few times before being closed down.

They went out of business a few years back.

I use Grape Tree these days.
I think they only went out of business because they were taken over by H & B who promptly closed the shops in places where there was H & B shops. The Grape Tree was set up by the same people I believe.
Brilliant for all nuts, seeds etc.

They’d been losing money for years… ever since it was bought out of administration by the owner of H&B, who struggled to turn it around and put it into administration. Never used it… thought it was expensive.

We shop at Waitrose and just chuck things in the cart. A while back they were out of stock of Chia seeds so picked some at a Sainsbury's near work. Sainsbury's 150g £1.25..... Waitrose £2!!! Did a bit more digging and you really do pay through the nose for shopping at Waitrose.

I buy nuts and seeds from Grapetree. They quite often have special offers. I buy a bag of mixed seeds for about £1.30 that lasts for ages.
I also buy large bags of jelly babies in their 'vintage sweets' section which are normally on offer and cheaper than smaller supermarket packets,
I often find that a smaller sized bag of nuts will be on a two for one, which makes it cheaper than buying a larger bag.

Yeah, I buy stuff on special offer there, and my wife gets a NHS discount as well, so it ends up quite cheap!
Big bags of almonds and walnuts that last for ages.

I buy my nuts from Lidl. And occasionally seeds but as I eat them in smaller quantities, I usually just pick them up with my usual weekly shop in Sainsburys.
(Lidl is a good 50 minute walk each way from home whereas Sainsburys is only 20 minutes. Waitrose is closer but as commented above, they are often more expensive so only used as mid-week fill-ins with their loyalty point vouchers.
Ok, that's TMI. Sorry!)

It's an absolute money thief

I mean nuts and seeds in a packet mix to fortify a breakfast ?

Not just for snacking .....although that's a thought

Most supermarkets will have them, they may be in the baking section along with dried fruits etc.
You can make your own mix from whatever nuts and seed you like.
