When I contacted the DVLA two week ago, they said all I had to do was print off and fill in the online medical form and send it off with my current licence and a passport photo.:D They said nothing else was needed, however today 25/2/10 I recieved the form, photo and my licence back with different form for me to fill in:(. Clearly the person on the phone did not have a clue:confused:, this has resulted in me being very frustrated.😡

Hi Steve, I know what you mean they can be very frustrating, try and stay calm and stick in there

Frustrating, yes, Steve, but soon you will have a photo ID licence, without having to pay for it. Renewing every 1, 2 or 3 years is also free (for cars & motorbikes). Worth talking to doctor you name on form to fill them in on your situation.

The DVLA web-site is a bit confusing there are a whole raft of forms that could be downloaded.

The good news is that next time around - when you come to renew they will send you the correct forms with the reminder letter.

You could add a covering note when you send your application back about the incorrect information you received.

The DVLA leave no stone unturned and want to know everything about your past and present medical history, it can be inconvenient sometimes filling in endless forms but its all worth while when your licence pops through the post.
