Intensive care patients with diabetes found to be at higher risk than patients who don't have diabetes, from bacteria Acinetobacter bauma in Saudi Arabia - findings of study by Dr Ben Evans, lecturer in microbiology and medical biotechnology ARU (Anglia Ruskin University) in Cambridge, co-author of study. Bacteria found only in Middle East and is mainly caught by patients with compromised immune systems, in hospitals.
