Hey Guys, I'm turning to you because you've always been so amazingly helpful!!
I've just ordered my first ever Miao Miao and was wondering what the best app to use for it on an Iphone?
I've heard mixed reports about Tomato and i think Glimp and I've tried looking for x drip but cannot find it anywhere!
Can anyone recommend an app to use that is effective please?
Thank you in advance everyone!

I’ve got the miao Miao 2 on iPhone at the moment I use tomato which is ok but ideally I’d be looking for another app, I am also actually struggling to find a good one. Lots of people said spike but I tried to download it and it didn’t work. With tomato it’s fine through the day as the alarms will work however they’re quite quiet and only go off like twice so if you’re asleep it probably wouldn’t wake you up. However it’s still good to see a graph of your blood sugars every five minutes. Hopefully spike becomes a bit easier to download / get on iPhone in the future 🙂

I have an Android phone and use xDrip+.
There is a version available for the iPhone. But it is not on the app store. You need to download it from github.
I am a member of the xDrip facebook group. It is amazingly helpful and provides a link to the latest version to download.

I have used Glimp but don't believe there is an iPhone version.

I tried Tomato at the very beginning but didn't like it. I can't remember why now, But after I discounted it, I read they store your data in a China-based cloud which puts some people off.

I have not tried Spike as it is only iPhone based but friends have moved away from it after there were some significant changes enforced upon it.

xDrip seems to be the one that I see more people using, but I am not sure there is an iOS version of that.

When I was considering Libre for OpenAPS, an Android phone always seemed part of the mix - even if that was all it was used for.

Hi Carys i have been using xdrip+ for a number of years with MM1 then MM2 which has a much better Bluetooth connection but a smaller battery ,I first used Glimp for a while which is a simpler app from google play it is a good app to start with if you are not tech y but as you get the hang of it you can progress to xdrip+ which has more information and settings and overall a better app you can allso connect to a watch for your BG readings with the right compatible watch any way good luck with your choice .

@Matchless, I do not believe there is an iOS (Apple) version of Glimp.
Spike used to be the Glimp equivalent but this is no longer in vogue.
As an Android user, I didn't pay much attention to the details why but I remember it required some frequent software tweaking.

@everydayupsanddowns there definitely IS a iOS version of xDrip (but not xDrip+). Amongst my Apple-flavoured Miaomiao-pimped Libre users, this now seems to be the favoured app

I missed Carys has a iphone i stand corrected i have always had a android phone which glimp worked well when i last used it some years ago , while we are on the subject of FSL i am looking forward to Libre 3 which i read speaks direct to insulin pumps with BG with Bluetooth .
