I started taking my metformin again today after a long period of being very unorganised! I took 1g with lunch... however i now feel very nauseous... could it be the metformin or totally unrelated??
it's modified release Sukkarto

Were you given any advice about restarting metformin? It's usual to start with 500mg in a single dose for a few days, then add another 500mg at a different meal. Restarting is the same principle as starting from scratch. Nausea, breaking wind etc are all potential side effects of metformin - more details in patient information leaflet in your box of tablets.

I never should have stopped them anyway....so my fault. was just trying to be "good" again
