I have been privately prescribed Glucophage prolonged release tablets which I have used satisfactorily for about 2 years. My GP has prescibed these under the NHS.

They now wish to change the tablet to Sukkarto. The Surgery assures me this form of Metformin is " exactly the same medicine ….and I will see no change in my condition"

Can anyone tell me if they have been changed to this new drup and the results of using it compared to their previous prescription.

I have been on Metformin slow release for many years, I have never had the Glucophage brand but had many others I personal have noticed no difference, between brands. Though I have read people report they have noticed differences.
