I am really struggling with indigestion and flatulence with my pills.I have always been that way inclined but it is now horrendous. At the beginning of this year my doctor prescribed a different brand of metformin. After telling him about my problems which becomes very bad when I go to bed he has now changed me again to another brand.Sometimes it is so bad I cannot get to sleep and have to lie on my tummy and roll about to move it.Yes I know it sounds very funny but believe me it isn't .I have tried all forms of remedies to help with this problem.Has anyone got any things that have helped them. The doctor is now suggesting that I have a cat scan but I don't want to do this route.

Metformin has sadly, a bad reputation. You can be prescribed the slow release version, which could ease your symptons

The standard version can be very hard on one, hence its nickname of metfartin. Its worth asking to be put on the slow release version as it is a lot more gentle on ones system.

Metformin is not the only drug available, if its causing you au much discomfort. Ask for a different medication.
Lifes too short to suffer

I am on it but haven't noticed any difference in it for me.

Some people find reducing the amount of carboydrates they eat helps, as you have already done others have found a switch of brand has helped, though you have not this. I personally we go and say you cant tolerate the side effects and you want to try something else.
