Metformin and psyllium husk-interaction?

Hi folks I have type 2 diabetes and I take 2 x500g Metform with my evening meal,since becoming constipated after dietary changes and going low carb,I have decided to get some Psyllium husk,can anyone tell me if they take metformin and psyllium and when and how they take them,should I be having the psyllium hours away from taking the metformin in case there is an interaction that stops the Metformin working so well,as my doctor didn't know if they interacted

If there was an interaction it would be stated on the medication leaflet and as the husk is a natural substance it would be unlikely. Stop worrying
