Type 2
Hi guys,

Another question I'm afraid. I'm sure all newbies come out with loads of queries?

As you probably know, I've been diagnosed with type 2. I started on Medformin 500mg for first week and increased it to 1000mg the following week. How long does it take before it starts working? My levels after lunch today were 7.8 and will probably get lower when I take some exercise. Have my levels come down purely by diet and exercise or will the Metformin have helped? I ask this because I'm not keen on staying on the medication if I can control this by myself.

The metformin will have helped you to come down, along withthe fact you are doing things to help yourself.

It is good you are asking lots of questions, it is the only way to find things out, don't be scared to ask.
