This morning I feel I messed up my trisba dose as least some of it went on me the area I was injecting into(I probably didn't push the needle in far enough I wanted to get hold of dirlbetic nurse to ask her what to do but I couldn't due to charging issues and it's probably too late to anything about it now my blood sugers are okay the highest they got since breakfast I think is 8.0(aftlly they might have been 9.3) slightly after.) But now I am worried about tonight as I'm noticing an increase overnight anyway.

I wouldn’t worry unduly. Tresiba is a very long acting insulin, (2-3 days) so each dose you inject overlaps with the day before and the day after, so you won’t have nothing at all in your system at any point. If you’ve seen no real difference today, the chances are more than you thought went in this morning, and I doubt you’ll get a dangerously high spike in your blood sugar. If you’re higher than you’d like tomorrow morning, you can do a correction with your breakfast bolus if you’ve been taught how to do this,( I think you may still be on fixed doses, from what you’ve posted before ) and if not, and you are worried, you will probably be able to speak to your nurse tomorrow.

I have not be taught how to do corrections yet but Coventry I do have an appointment at the hospital tomorrow.

Hope your BGs behave overnight @rayray119 and that your appointment tomorrow goes well. 🙂

I had a similar concern when I must have hit a small vein as it bled like crazy, and I thought all the insulin must have been washed out with it.
On doing my test later, everything was fine so don't worry too much , and good luck for tomorrow.

I think we have all been there and done that at some point, also we've all injected the wrong insulin, or the wrong dose, or forgotten to inject at all.

I hope your appointment went well, and that your blood sugar is behaving itself reasonably well today.

Well it ended up giving me keytones. In the night which 111 sent to a and e and and becuse it was such a long went I got I was still there in when my apoimennt was so I saw the direabectic team in that hostipal instead log they gave me things to do about keytones in the future. Like if it gets above 5 give myself 3 units of insulin

I wouldn't agree with that advice, if your ketones are above 5 you should ideally be in hospital being treated, anything above 1.6 you are advised to inject extra fast acting and seek medical advice, above 3 and the same or even present yourself at A&E as you are at high risk of developing DKA xx

Sorry I meant above 1.5 and if they get to 3 go to a and e. If lower then 1.5 but high keep an eye every 2 hours.
