Just wanted to wish all members, posters, readers and lurkers of the forum a very merry Christmas (or as merry as you can manage in this strangest of years). Hopefully it won’t be too difficult for you all, and while quieter and simpler than perhaps we are used to, maybe there will be a quiet peace and comfort in the simplicity of it.

I also wanted to thank you all for the huge amount of help, support and encouragement you have so generously and freely offered to each other throughout the year. You have made the forum a beacon of stability, positivity, information, reassurance, and hope when newcomers and well known members alike were facing very troubling circumstances, and when HCPs and appointments were sometimes quite hard to come by.

Merry Christmas, and here’s hoping for a much easier 2021

Very true, although I would rather things were normal, I feel the quiet has taken alot of stress out of normal panic in the run upto Christmas. I am looking forward to it and my children (Twins both 22) have to stay at home as we are in isolation until the 28th.

Only been here for a short while but all your adivce/help has very much been apriciated.

Merry Christmas all

Merry Christmas everyone.

It's been a hectic year, for me anyway. Probably not the best year to work in a supermarket!!!

Let's hope 2021 is kinder and better to everyone.

Take care, stay safe and enjoy your Christmas. X

Happy Christmas everyone!
Enjoy it, having a few days of eating what you want helps in long term. Diabetes lives with me. I currently have very little control over my food choices as in Southend hospital but will celebrate when get home next year!
Live life to the fullest you can, because it can be taken away xx

Merry Christmas everyone and thanks for your advice and support since I joined in September. It's been invaluable.
Have fun, stay safe and let's hope 2021 is a much happier and healthier year than the departing one.

You have explained to her that she’s not allowed to fly into any Tier 4 areas, haven’t you?
That’s the one advantage of lockdown I can think of, I wish her a Merry Christmas, but I don’t really want to see her over the festive period.

Thanks Mike for all you do to keep things on an even keel for all of us.

Merry festivities to you all, enjoy whatever you do and smile while you eat those extra treats.
It comes but once a year, and ‘Diabetes has no memory’.

Merry Christmas @everydayupsanddowns and to everyone on here. Thank you for all the support, wise words and listening when i've had a rant that you have all done over the past year. Its been a really hard one. My heart and thoughts go out to those who have lost loved ones and those who are spending Christmas alone. Hopefully by this time next year things will be much better and we can all be together with friends and family again.
Take care everyone and stay safe. Merry Christmas x

Merry Christmas Mike and everyone!

Thanks Mike and Merry Christmas to you and yours. It has been a surreal year but I would say we’ve all ridden the storm pretty well ( most of the time). Have a great Christmas everyone.

With my very best wishes to you Mike and to all the other people in the "Diabetes Club". Thank you for all the help. I hope tomorrow is a good day for all of you. Probably different to what you planned, but let's enjoy it anyway. I hope next year will be a better year for everyone. May you stay safe and well. 🙂

Well you personally are currently safe, cos she's right here with me in Tier 3. She's been here for nearly 2 days this time, but been her usual little self, which I expect I was due for really as she hadn't visited me at all recently and quite obviously she felt I'd been almost ignoring her for too long. So it served me right, because I had been neglecting her. I did try and get sorted out yesterday, ready for getting my replacement pump in the New Year, but that didn't get sorted until mid morning today, and then a bit more sorted around lunchtime, so only time will tell as to whether Madame la Fée decides to reward herself with a day off tomorrow, or is possibly already bored enough to leave and go elsewhere - or not.

In any event, I also wish all of you as happy a Christmas as you can have!

Here's Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a hopefully a much better 2021!
