Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hello all,
I am a type 1 diabetic, I have SLE (lupus) I had an MI in 2005 and a stroke in 2018.
Unfortunately I have begun menopause, I’m unable to take HRT or use oestrogen patches.
I was wondering if anyone had any alternative remedies or treatments they have used that they found helped.
Thanks

You could have a look for oil of Evening Primrose - works for some ladies but not for others. You'll have to check in case it clashes against anything else you have, cos I wouldn't know, sorry.

My mum took sage capsules, a soya thing, and red clover (I think). She said they helped a lot and would panic if she ran out.

I have read multiple times that exercise helps to reduce the symptoms of menopause.
I exercise a lot (most days) and have been very lucky to have not experienced any symptoms. This may be coincidence but I would recommend exercise if possible.

Thank you I’ll have a look.

I do try to exercise, I love swimming but obviously they have been closed because of Covid. Thanks
