I went out for lunch yesterday so didn't eat again during the day. Woke up at 1am with an absolutely awful hypo headache and 3.2. I fel t so ill and although I had 7 jelly babies it was still only 5.7 in the morning and this is despite me dropping my basal lots over the past few days. Took two lots of painkillers to curb the pain - I must have sounded bad because OH woke up to look fter me.....and he never wakes up in the night. Still feeling wobbly so very slowly pottering in the garden with lots of breaks.

Hope you are feeling much better soon Amanda. I've had to drop my insulin doses a lot this week, and even then my 7-day average is 5.0, so I'm sure you can imagine how many lows that contains given that I have also done a lot of post-meal tests! 😱

Blimey Northerner you must have been battling almost non-stop hypos. I do feel sorry for you.

Crumbs, sounds like you've both been having a right time of it! I wonder if it's the decent weather playing havoc? :confused:Hope you both feel better soon! Xx

Thanks Twitchy my problems seem to be related to my diet - I think it must be a problem getting the basals right because of the gastroparesis:(

Perhaps your weight loss is also playing a part?

Definitely the weather with me, just had a 3.7 despite lowering my insulin for lunch again. More active and not shivering in the cold!

Amanda - I hope you're feeling very better soon 🙂

Alan - I hope those hypos stop soon - naughty weather 😡!

Thanks Whisksmum. Alan I think that the weight loss might also be impacting, it's so complicated.

Alan you must be exhausted being so low all the time.

Thanks, it hasn't been too bad, just quite a lot of upper 3s and low 4s, but with the odd 2.x thrown in as well. I'm doing a lot of testing so tend to catch them before things get too low, but it's still a surprise to be at 3.x two hours after eating when you're expecting to see a 7 or 8! 😱
