Have look at the Diabetes UK actual website rather than the forum (where we both are right now) and see what local groups exist in your area - they're open to anyone who has any interest in diabetes and cover all sorts of subjects at meetings and have all sorts of speakers apart from the social aspects with other members which are usually helpful anyway, just finding empathy always helps.
But you'll find that here anyway whatever you're struggling with whether its directly concerned with diabetes or not - so why not tell us a bit more about it? Between us we have hundreds of years experience of living with our mutual relative diabetes. You know what they say - you can choose your friends but you're stuck with your relatives, so it's better to find ways to live with them!
