Hi - just joined, my first ever forum, mum to a 19 type 1. Grumpy with Medtronic as can’t get a straight answer as to why the mio advance cannula has been unavailable for months - any ideas ? Thanks

Hi @Nannybear and welcome

I was told there aren’t any supplies available until at least next year. I’ve been waiting to try a different cannula since January and it was suggested I try Mio Advance. Told in April they weren’t available as any supply was needed for existing users and now waiting to try Mio instead.

Are you able to use Mio which look quite similar to Mio Advance?

Sorry you are caught up in this @Nannybear

This article from last week suggests Medtronic are hoping for resume of supply by the end of the year.

Thanks for the information. We have the mini med mio replacement cannulas but they’re just not as good . Let’s hope the supply issues are resolved soon. Many thanks.
