My gran has very kindly sent me ?100 to buy myself a piece of medical ID. It's my Chrimbo present 🙂 and I want to get something really nice, good quality, long lasting, etc.

When I've been looking before, I've never had that sort of money to play with, so I'm wondering if anyone has ever bought anything really decent online and can recommend any websites?

I'm after a silver/steel bracelet, preferably with a rectangular bar than can be engraved. I have teeny tiny wrists (inherited those from the females in my mum's family!) so I need something slim, feminine looking. I want my full name, DOB, 'insulin pump user' and my mum's mobile number putting on it. And obviously the medical ID symbol nice and clear!

I've been doing some googling but would rather be recommended a site

Thanks, Shiv x

Shiv - lucky lady

I have found the following web site worth a look - that is where I bought my silver neck chain and silver engraved 'thing' - sorry mind blanked out

www.universalmedicalid.com

Although in the US, received mine within a week or so - no problems

Good luck

http://www.universalmedicalid.co.uk/ is the UK version and you get a free on-line medication database with an access code on your bracelet. They are very good for service and the bracelets are great. Must find someone to remove some links since I lost weight!

Shiv, I personally wouldn't use ICE Gems again. I've had 2 purchases from this web site and not being happy with product or customer service.

I used http://www.universalmedicalid.co.uk as well and was very happy with it, very quick delivery. I ordered a steel dog-tag type necklace, it's nice and clear and I've has it about 2 years now and there has been absolutely no fading, which I was worried would happen.

I bought it in steel which was around ?33 I think, but you may want to get silver if its as a present! They usually give you an option of sizes, but they might still be too big!

i used Ice Gems recently and was very happy with them.. 🙂
