I'm having some difficulty finding some meal replacement bars suitable for diabetics. The only one I have come across is Atkins which do some in low sugar content. I checked out Slimfast and their products are very high in sugar. Thanks

This isn't going to be the answer you want to hear but you can't replace a meal with a bar. There aren't any meal replacement bars suitable for anyone, regardless of whether or not you have diabetes. If you're looking to lose weight, you need to make sustainable lifestyle choices, and eating a bar instead of meal is not that.

I wasn't looking to replace all my meals with a bar, just one meal at lunchtime really when I'm at work. I eat a healthy diet normally but can't seem to shift the pounds off so wanted something to help me speed up my weight loss as I do need to lose a lot of weight.

All the meal replacement bars I know of have lots of sugar of some description , have high carbs or both.
Why not take in a packed lunch , atm I tend to have Ryvita's and cheese for my lunch

Yeah - two Ryvitas = 12g carb - and you can have whatever you want with them. (Mega salad in a Tupperware type container?) Must admit, I really like the Sesame seed ones, which not only state they are 5.6g each on the packet - they are in practice too I find.

Other 'flavours' vary - so check!!

Or - skip lunch?

I love the Sesame seed ones the best.

Exactly, crispbread or oatcakes or rice cakes with some combination of cheese / tuna / hummus / tomato / cucumber etc would be better than a so-called meal replacement bar. Admittedly, muesli bars are good emergency food to leave in work drawer / locker, as they last for ages, but not for daily meals.

You've made me feel hungry now 🙂
