Yea I am using some of my own experiences I am hoping to maybe get it published and help raise awareness of type 1 diabetes.
Yea my sister was knocked over by an overexcited little dog and she has been scared since. I like Labradors.
Mostly cakes and biscuits.
How about doing dog walking for people who are unable to walk their dogs, that might also help to get your sister used to dogs, or volunteer for your local dog charity.

Welcome to the forum @AlicePalace . Very pleased that you have found us.

I am another Type 1 with an interest in crafts. I am a weaver, it happily dabble in lots of other things, including knitting and sewing. I am determined to use up my stash of fabric and yarns which has somehow built up over the years.

Very pleased that your Hybrid Closed Loop system is working well for you. I have found that it is a game changer for me, and has taken away so much of the perpetual thinking that I had to do before.

It is great to hear of other people’s interests on here, nothing to do with diabetes, so do share what you are getting up to.

Hi. Maybe I could share some of my story I have been working on.

Do you need to have training to do that

I’m not sure if you need anything like that, but I wouldn’t think you do need training, although any experience would be good. You do need references.

I could try I don't know many people with dogs. I live in a close and most of the people there have cats

You could go to one of the local parks as there are usually people walking dogs who you could chat to and 'talk' to their dog to get used to touching and interacting with dogs. Then you may feel more confident with doing it.
When I was a teenager (many years ago) I helped a lady at a boarding kennels walking the dogs. There may be regulations these days but worth a look.
