Not diabetes related, but since last year have had my foot hurting, due to the exercise and walking I was doing, then this year noticed a lump on top of my foot, and realised I have a ganglion cyst, has anyone got any good ideas to make it go down naturally, either resting it, or putting cold or warm compresses on it.

I have a rather large one on my wrist which is getting increasingly painful, sometimes just making contact with something rather than knocking it, so I will be interested to hear of any suggestions other than hitting it with an old family bible.... which would be beyond excruciating 😱 or maybe I am just a terrible wuss. It's like being wired to the mains if I just tap it with my finger.
You have my sympathies having one on your foot as obviously footwear is going to cause constant pressure and pain!

I have been considering asking if my GP could perform surgery on mine for several years now but not plucked up the courage... Our practice is able to do minor surgical stuff and I have a feeling our lead GP would relish getting a scalpel out, but in the current climate I don't think it would be fair to even ask, so I am just muddling along for now and muttering under my breath rather too frequently when I catch it!

Have 2 on palm of left hand, found them annoying at first but never notice them now, Dr said no treatment needed as they might recede, they have wee bit but still there after several years.

I had one years ago on my palm at the base of my ring finger but it dissipated after a few years. This wrist one just keeps getting more pronounced and more tender and of course the bigger it gets the more often I catch it.

Sorry to hear about your hurty feet @Jane50 :(

Might be worth getting your feet checked by your GP, just in case?

I am going to try a cold compress or a warm compress on it for a little while, and get some different shoes that are a bit softer, so that my shoes dont irritate it
