Tuesday was a very special day for May Millward as that was the day HM The Queen formally presented her with the MBE - and, it was also the day she celebrated her Ruby Wedding with husband Ian.
The investiture, which took place between 11am and noon at a ceremony in the Long Room at the Palace of Holyrood saw May being asked by Her Majesty about her former work and voluntary activities with Diabetes UK mentioning she was aware of the growing problem the condition was causing.
