This was in the newspaper as a recipe developed by a clever young girl who now has her own bread shop in Watlington Oxfordshire, I think you can still read her story on Google. I like it with butter and cheese or toasted with beans and/or cheese. Totally Yummy!
Marmite Bread
320ml Luke warm water
500g bread flour
8g salt (I don’t add salt)
2g dried yeast
Water in a bowl stir in Marmite, slowly add flour/salt/yeast
Cover and leave overnight
Next day
Heat oven to maximum temperature, place empty casserole dish with lid on in the oven to get very hot, up to an hour
Scoop out dough with floury hands, shape into a ball and place on a sheet of lightly floured baking paper, leave to prove
Remove casserole dish and lower grease proof and dough into it, slash the top with a knife, add the lid. Back in the oven for 30 mins then remove lid and cook for another 15 min.
Lift out and leave to cool on a wire rack
