hey guys - ive been receiving quite a lot of emails from the various nutrition sites and other health sites/sources i'm signed up to regarding this 'superfood' and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this. it is supposed to be great for a variety of conditions - not least diabetes - in that it helps to regenerate cells, among other things. my research into this is in its early stages, so i am in no position to comment one way or another, although the next step would be to get hold of some and start ingesting. any thoughts?

My thoughts personally would be that I would be very suspicious about any food claiming to be a 'superfood'. Yes, there are things that are good for us in various ways, but there have also been a large number of scams and fads over the years based on some exotic and usually therefore highly-priced item, many of which have been discredited.

Whilst accepting that the phytoplankton isn't being promoted as a diabetes cure, I am reminded of a poem I wrote - particularly the reference to Himalayan Mountain Grass...:
