A couple of nights ago I had an alarm going off I thought it was the hand set to the Omnipod 5 so rang Omnipod 5 whilst on the phone I took the device into the kitchen no noise went back into my lounge and told the agent it must be the fire alarm going off I had checked it was none of the pods alarming as well so I decided to get help from one of my neighbours he could not work it out either but he pinpointed the side of the room where the alarm was coming from he picked up the old Omnipod DASH handset and said it was that and yes it was I had charged it up to check on the settings earlier in the day and it was asking for pod communication. Yes silly me I switched it off completely

Reminds me of the times I've been to diabetes events / meetups and reacted every time I heard a familiar pump or CGM alarm going off - only to realise that it wasn't mine for once!
 
Thank you yes definitely too many gadgets.
Am I allowed to put up a case I have bought from Amazon for my Omnipod 5 handset as it is brilliant it is a pouch and it was quite cheap and looks well made as well and is
ideal for the handset

Me and my husband at the pub the other week, libre alarm last went off and it wasn't me. We both then played guess whose the diabetic :D
 
I got very sensitive to electronic beeps during my time using my last pump (tubeless Medtrum) because I experienced so many failures. I used to panic even when there were beep noises of some description from the television :( I have started to relax a bit more now I'm using pens again but still some beeps set me off.
 
I must confess, sometimes I hear a low level beeping and suddenly wonder if it is my Libre reader going off. It can get a bit frustrating being at the whim of this technology from time to time. I usually know that I need a Libre break when I start yelling at it! 🙄
 
A bit off post but it will make u laugh i without looking took my hairspray out of bedside cabinet and sprayed away only to think this smells nice only to look at it and find that I had sprayed my hair with deodorant
 
About 3 weeks ago, I came out of the eye department (following treatment)

so in that eye vision was even less good than usual
and it was just @dusk anyway

Mrs G likes meto get a Taxi (but I prefer the £2 cost of the bus to the about £7 of ataxi
plus taxi usually ends up at the wrong department looking for me anyway

So I got myself safely to the bus stop and was waiting for the Number 5 bus
about half hour later bus comes I pay my £2 and sit down

about 20 min later I notice bus is going nowhere near my side of town
and realise I’m actually on the number 16
at next stop made driver aware
he said stay on he will backbat main bus station in about half hour

My 10 min bus ride was an out hour and a half
and involved 3 buses :rofl: :rofl:
