Been scoffing a lot on these as a replacement for crisps and love the crunchy, buttery taste. Obviously try not to overdo them due to the fat content. But I don't think they're making my blood sugar spike unless anyone has had any other experiences with this and Macadamia Nuts?
Macadamia is one of the lowest carb nuts. I think it's Pecans which are the lowest and then Macadamia followed by Brazil, Walnuts, Hazelnuts, Pine nuts, Peanuts (yes I know they're not a nut!) and then Almonds.
I had a fistful yesterday, they're like cashews aren't they? Very nice. I'm trying to eat more nuts, you're supposed to have a small helping everyday for health apparently.
To be honest nuts are my go to, and I keep every kind there is in my fridge, often mixing them all up. I know they contain fat but I tend to think these are the healthier fats so they’re allowed. Like everything else in moderation.
I don’t know if everyone is the same but evenings between 7 and when I go to bed are the times I fidget and want some nibble or something.
One thing I must mention are two if the books recommended by this website,CARBS AND CALS, VERY LOW CALORIE RECIPES AND MEAL PLANS excellent for ideas you can suit your tastes with, also CARBS AND CALS CARB AND CALORIE COUNTER, the latter has become my point of reference. Both books are extremely well laid out.
