I don't know what is going on with my blood levels, lately. I have been having to lower my bases levels but I am still going low. How much would you lower at a time? Any thoughts or ideas, please.

Everyone is different lower it as much as you need. It wont hurt if you end up running high for a day or two.
Over the last week I've knocked 7 units off of my basal.

Could be the heat @spiritfree . I’ve been running low a lot too. It depends on your total basal amount and how low you’re going as to how much you lower it at a time. Generally people would knock off 1 or 2 units at a time and see how it goes, but if you’re going massively low then there’s no rule that says you couldn’t knock off 3,4 or more units.

I also suspect hot weather (and cold) seem to affect basal.
But I often change mine, over last year its' varied between 8 and 13 units (am and pm). Short period at 14 due to pending operation pre-covid.
Adjust range is 10%, so 1 unit (normally am & pm), with at least three days between adjustments. You should go as low or high as required to keep BGs reasonable.
