Relationship to Diabetes

The standards drop again. I am now informed that I will not see the nurse on my six month check unless I am called in.I will not be able to discuss my diet or medication.
 
Are you worried about your condition? How often would you choose to have a check up?

Most only have a yearly check up. The nurse has no idea about diet anyway so you wont miss anything.
 
I have
had Diabetes for 40 years and in that time have seen a nurse or doctor every six months.This has helped me keep under control. My nurse is also an expert on diet and I have discussed it with her.
 
It is perfectly normal for someone who is well controlled to have an annual review, 6 monthly reviews are for people with changing meds or high blood sugar/complications. I really don't see what dietary advice you can give someone who has had 40 years of dietary advice already.

I have to agree with that.

I am on a yearly check and everywhere I have lived, they have been excellent organising it and my retinopathy check. I haven't had to chase anyone up yet.

So that's Iver, Maidstone, Brent Cross and Llandrindod Wells up for honourable mentions. 🙂
