Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well, and still being able to laugh about diabetes-related 🙂 I'm sorry I haven't been on here for ages - I am just so busy at work I don't have a chance to come on, and then most evenings I'm at the gym. Recently, I've just gone on the pump too which is taking up a lot of time, and we're moving house in a few weeks, and I'm trying to look for a new job...so leaves me about zero time to do anything else!!

The reason for my post is that I could not think of anywhere better to get some great advice that I know I'll value.

I'd really like to start looking at low GI foods and being more aware of what I'm eating, but I don't know what books are best. I have the Carbs & Cals one, which is now a permanent feature in my bag and used loads. I'd like a GI-equivalent if there is such a thing, so I can look up what I'm about to eat and see what GI it is....does such a thing exist? I've had a look on Amazon but it's hard to tell what's good and what's not, and also which GI books are for the UK rather than the US!

Any advice, as always, greatly appreciated!

Hi Katie, nice to hear from you again 🙂 I'm not aware of a Low GI Carbs and Cals style book I'm afraid, but Rick Gallop's Express GI Diet has been highly-recommended here in recent times, so you might want to look at that (he does a range of GI books). 🙂
