Ingredients
100g or fresh salmon (cooked)
100g smoked salmon
Juice of half a lemon
1/4 teaspoon of Paprika (more if you like it hot)
2 Tablespoons of Low fat Natural Plain yogurt
Pepper to taste
teaspoon fresh Dill
You will need a blender or bowl and fork + suitable container for storage
1) It's up to you how you cook your salmon, I did it in the microwave to reduce use of cooking fats and keep it moist. When Salmon is cooked allow to cool and remove the skin.
2) Add the cooked salmon and smoked salmon and all the other ingredients
to the bowl of your blender and blend to the consistency of a fine pate. If it is too stiff, add extra yogurt. If you want the pate to be courser, blend for less time to a consistency that suits you.
3) Decant to a suitable container and keep refridgerated.
Serving suggestion: get a stick of celery and fill the grove with the pate, sprinkle with more paprika and a light dusting of chopped fresh dill and chop into 2 or three portions. Can also be spread on Oat Cakes and particularly nice on half a slice of German, Dark Rye bread that's been toasted for 6 minutes.
