Hello!

Haven't posted in a long, long time, and here I am crawling back to ask for advice!

My son Ross (who has his own account on here and has posted once or twice) has decided to try out low carbs for a while - he's Type 1, aged 14, not at all overweight, but has been experiencing prolonged periods of high blood glucose levels. It's a long story, which I won't go into here, but suffice to say that trying some low carbing might help, and it won't do any harm!

So, does anyone have any recommendations of really good low carb recipe books? I've just ordered the Low Carb Gourmet by Karen Barnaby and it looks quite good, but does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks!
Heidi

I don't have any personal recommendations Heidi, just wanted to say hi and nice to hear from you again 🙂 Hopefully someone will be along with some good options for you.

Thanks Northerner!
Nice to pop in once in a while 🙂

Hi,

I use three mainly:
The BIG Book of Low Carb recipes by Nicola Graimes
Low Carb published by Parragon
& The Low Carb Gourmet by Karen Barnaby.
I bought them all from Amazon UK.

Hope this helps.

Ken

I just adapt recipes to suit my own needs.
