Low Carb and Older Brains

Read an article a few days ago that claimed that recent research suggests that in older people a low carb diet is better for the brain, as the neurons in older brains are more receptive to fats as a source of energy than glucose, to the extent that age-related brain deterioration can be slowed. If so, another good reason for a LCHF diet for us oldies.

Think I've read before it might help at least delay, some of the effects of Alzheimer's.

I'm choosing to believe it. Any good health news at the moment is very welcome. Thanks for sharing.
 
I suspect as with most things that have not been solved, it is quite complex.
Also as I understand the conditions known under the umbrella of Dementia, are a variety of conditions.
