Yikes @Carolst66
2.3 is a really nasty one, and this really needs looking into as a matter of urgency.
At that level your brain function is affected so you can lose the ability to think straight. The brain also begins to adapt, and you will feel your warning signs less and less or only at lower and lower levels where you are at risk of collapse.
Those hypos really wipe you out don’t they - and that ’hypo hangover’ headache feeling can leave you feeling really washed out for a whole day.
As you aren’t on any medication this could be ‘reactive hypoglycaemia, so as @Inka says it may be wise to cut down on the carby things in your meals so that your metabolism isn’t prompted to over-react with insulin after a carby meal - but you should also take fast acting carbs like glucose tablets with you wherever you go, so that you can treat these feelings as soon as they come on with 15g of fast acting carbs.
And do speak to your Dr or call NHS111, because hypos like this are potentially very dangerous.
