I have read around and discovered I was not alone having a lower blood sugar after my jab. I spent a couple of days fighting off hypos for the first jab and was better prepared for the second.
I know we are all different so I just shrugged off this initial low. However, i just realised that more than two weeks after my second jab and I am still on 75% of my usual basal.
I am eating the same, I haven’t lost weight and I am exercising the same,

Am I just weird or has anyone else experienced increased insulin sensitivity weeks after their jab?

I don’t mind and am not finding it difficult to manage. Hey, I am happy to save the NHS money on my insulin. I’m just curious.

No, you’re not weird. I went low after the first jab and had to reduce my basal. My basal stayed low for weeks after. I then took a pump break, had my 2nd jab and went high. So I don’t know how long my reduced pump basal would have lasted if I hadn’t taken the pump break, but the sensitivity was very noticeable and definitely a thing.

Nope. Had this problem with the first injection as well to the point where I was able to come off insulin (basal and bolus) altogether for about a week despite eating my usual 200g of carbs per day. At one point I even entertained the idea that maybe I was "cured". 🙂

I'm having to reduce my basal to deal with this the second time around.
It'll all gradually return to normal in about a week or so.
