I have to say the pump support team at Roche are lovely & helpful.

I placed my first pump order Tuesday & was worried about how much I should order & hannah talked me through it all & what quantities she would order if she was me.

I had an issue Tuesday/Wednesday & they were lovely again (the issue was the max bolus thing)

By 4.30pm Thursday, I was in a flap that I had 1 cartridge left & was about to use it & my order hadn't come (to be told it still hadnt been sent) so an emergency order was dispatched as my original order wasn't looking like I'd get it before Monday/Tuesday.

Got both orders Friday (to 2 locations) so am now fine

But today after a really **** day at work, I came home to find Roche had sent me a box.

It's my free pump skin for doing my warranty online which has cheered me up no end.

so basically to Sharon, Hannah & Rebecca at Roche customer support, thank you from a slightly panicky & scared first time pumper.

What a nice post 🙂

Glad you are getting there and getting the help you deserve and need 🙂

Lovely to know that our pump support contacts are nice, friendly and helpful 😉

The team at accu-chek are really great. They are very patient when I have a problem and always manage to sort problem. If they can help, in any way, they always will. The team seems to be happy and confident.10/10 from me.

Sounds pretty good, and great you got the help so quickly

Great to hear experiences like this 🙂

The folks at Medtronic have always been lovely too!

Great news Laura - pleased to hear that their customer service team works so well. I used to use the Aviva nano meter and I found them to be super efficient with helping me out and sending spare back up meters (for free), extra batteries etc
Hope the new pump is working out well for you as well !
X

Unfortunately, I have had not quite such a positive experience. I called them yesterday to enquire about availability of pump supplies overseas as I am going to be away for an extended period later this year. Very unhelpful and did not even offer to try to find out the information I need.

Contrast this with Sanofi-Aventis who were able to answer within minutes, and Lilly who promised to find out and phone me back.

I understand that this was an unusual enquiry, but the jobs-worth attitude was not impressive. Perhaps I got someone on a bad day, as my previous experience with them has been good.

oh no!
i hope you manage to get it sorted & have a nice time away

Thanks Laura.

Well it's quite tricky isn't it? after 3 months away you aren't supposed to get anything from the NHS on scrip anyway. Like, only 3 moth's worth of strips, insulin or anything else you get from your GP and if you are away for longer, your GP can take you off his books .....

So what do you intend doing about your regular repeat scrip items?

That's a new one to me. GP has said it won't be a problem, and so has the clinic.

I'll still be paying my taxes after all!

Wish I had your GP, however he is acting on NHS rules when he refuses to give me more than 3 months. Just means we have to come back off holiday every 12 weeks.
