Does anyone who is taking Losartan suffer with palpitations. I am seeing my GP on Thursday so will ask if this drug can be the cause.

I take something from the same family - candesartan. I am generally fine with it, but suffered what I can only describe as the symptoms of a panic attack, including palpitations, when I was told to increase the dose from 8 to 12 mg. My GP advised me to lower it back to 8 and no repeat of problem. I am currently on 4 mg.

Hope your GP can help 🙂

I'm on 100 mg Losartan and 5 mg. Terazosin for BP. Hopefully the GP will tell me to reduce it.

I saw my GP today about the palpitations. She doesn't think it is caused by the medication I am taking. My BP was up, which is usually is when I visit the surgery. I am to have a blood test for thyroid and also a 24 hr. heart monitor on 27th November.

Hope you can get some answers and that it's something simple to treat 🙂
