Hi, I currently have an Accu-chek Meter, but the testing strips are proving very expensive, so I've been looking at the Tee2+. Can anyone recommend this meter, and what is the difference between the Tee2 and the Tee2+? Many thanks.

Cheapest test strips are likely to be Codefree unless things have changed a lot.
I’ve got the Codefree SD but they’ve updated the monitor recently so it’s now the Gluco Navii

Test strips are about £7 for 50

Looks like you can only get a Tee2+ meter which is what I use. Very quick service online. Why not phone or email them to ask? I've always found them helpful.

Thank you for your kind replies. Actually I've just taken Christy's advice and rung the makers of the Tee2, and the girl who took the call didn't really answer my query about the differences between the Tee2 and the Tee2+ and was determined to follow her own agenda. The outcome was they are sending me a free meter with all the bits to go with it! I was a bit 'gobsmacked' at their generosity and await my new meter with interest. I have read somewhere on line that they make their money through the sale of the blood glucose strips.

All the manufacturers make their profit on the test strips.

It’s exactly the same with things like printers and photocopiers etc. Flog the machine for next to nothing but make it so that you’re tied to them for consumables - ink cartridges, toner etc. And for us that’s test strips.

Yup Tee2+ seems good. I use one. Its never let me down and its very straight forward to use. £8 for a box of 50 test strips.
