I'm a nutritional consultant and I often use these forums to look for trends and issues that type 2 diabetics are experiencing. It is important for diabetics to understand that everyone is individual, how one medication or food choice affects a person is completely unique to them. The only way to find out how a food/medication affects their blood sugar levels is to test regularly. Everyone has an individual set of genetics, susceptibility and lifestyle choices. These message boards are great to get guidance and guidelines. The support they offer is extremely important, as many people share the same goals and can offer feedback and encouragement to others.
I hope to post information on nutritional medicine, so individuals can be made aware of the type of support out there, that can run alongside their medical treatment.
