i would try your local libary for slow cooking books etc to try out recipies try before buying as i found out buying cook books then finding out that you only bought for one or two recepies is a waste of money (done that wrote the book) if you are unable to get books that cooks for one its is adusting the quanity of ingredents then adusting the cooking slightly the good thing with slow cookers that nothing tends to burns🙂

bbc good food is a great site, with pictures for each recipe, it also tells you how many carbs, are in each meal.

I bought a good food book from smiths the other week for ?5 quid, reduced from ?20, which was a bargain ...

I would reccomend it to everyone on here...🙂

They also have a large slow cooking selection, you could make for to or four, then freeze half?

Another way of dealing with cooking for one is to do one big meal. Eat a bit and split the rest up into portions and freeze. I do that with my chilli-con-carne and now my quorn chilli (now that I'm reducing the red meat quantity in my diet).

Hang on! Just read the immediate post prior to mine! Nothing like repeating what someone else says! Still, it re-inforces the suggestion eh? 🙂
