I'm currently in the process of finding solution how to cope with my T2D. I've tried intermittent fasting and it definitely helped me out so far. I lost my food craving and feel better overall. It balanced out my insulin levels as well.

I was recommended this type of Halki remedy from a friend that has bought it - [link removed by moderators]. Does any of you guys have experience with it? I am wondering if it is legit. The stories there seem genuine, but I am not sure :(

Hello @Josh Taylor , welcome to the forum. I have not looked at your link but I know some people have found this book helped them. I have not read this book myself

If it's the same one as talked about in this link, or something like it, it's a scam: https://www.sandiegocan.org/2019/04/22/scam-alert-halki-diabetes-cure-is-baloney/

EDIT: Yes, it is the same thing & it is an affiliate marketing scam out of the Agora scam-stable. I first came across Agora a zillion years ago when they were pushing financial newsletter scams & how they can still be in business & not behind bars after all these years, lord only knows.

More snake oil. Forgive my being a suspicious old b****r, but do I hope this is not a subtle piece of promotional work for it. Who or what are bit.do? I'm not going to click on it to find out!

Hello @Ljc, thank you for the book recommendation, I have added it to my to-reads🙂
@Docb, I have never heard of snake oil before, can you tell me a bit more? It seems to lead to a different site, it turns out to be safe. There are materials/sources for type 1 and 2 diabetes and they are selling their remedy, backing it up with stories and data. It seems harmless.

Josh, snake oil is a term used to refer to the concoctions sold by itinerant "medics" in the Wild West. The were either coloured water or more likely coloured alcohol and were sold as either elixirs or medications that could cure any disease known to man. These days it is a term used to categorise those modern "miracle" cures which crop up with unfailing regularity when somebody gets an idea that they think they can promote and get people to pay money for. They disappear as fast as they appear. At least these days there are advertising standards so if you read the small print (if it is actually big enough to see) you will usually find all the weasel words which make the headlines worthless. Pretty common thing in the field of diabetes as far as I can make out.

Apologies if I misread your intentions in your original post. If you are looking for a magic cure for type 2, then stop. Far better to take the simple routes advocated with eloquence by many on this forum.

Snake oil: common term for something of no value, worth or use, that is claimed to be a great cure or solution.
Althouth from the USA, it's part of UK English.

As a type two your problem is the carbs in your diet - it is - if you are lucky - a simple matter of not eating the things which are not your friends.
