Lockdown may have led to the deaths of 3,000 diabetes patients in England due to checks like foot exams not being carried out as normal NHS analysis suggests.

That report is full of "could have" and other qualifications. I doubt that an annual diabetes check would prevent deaths, and there is no investigation in to other factors that may have played a part in the deaths. And folk with diabetes die of all sorts of conditions that have nothing to do with diabetes.

And Partha Kar has said that over the last couple of years all the relevant measures have moved in the right direction: HbA1c has improved, amputations reduced, etc.
