Health chiefs have hit back after being ranked in the worst category for mental health performance, claiming the figures are a snapshot which do not represent the care to patients.
Norwich Clinical Commissioning Group (CCGs) is among 21 who have the “greatest need for improvement”, according to a table published by NHS England.

The ranking rates CCGs on the quality of mental health care for the first time, though the figures used to establish the table are from January and March this year.

Norwich CCG said it believed mental health services for people in the city is “considerably better than this data portrays”.

Too many layers of management is the main problem. It's just a daft system, no way to run a "National" health service when the system throws up differences like this. The population of Norfolk, notwithstanding comedians jokes, is no more affected by mental illness than anywhere else. Eveything seemed to work better when there were no CCGs.
